Pat writes, "Since 1986 I have been working with parents to help them with improving communication with their teenage children. As a result of this experience I wrote this book.

This book was originally offered as part of a drug awareness kit. The Lions Club distributed over 8000 copies of the kit throughout Australia and Papua New Guinea.
